Fruits and vegetables low in fat and calories and rich in phytonutrients and antioxidants help the body fight cancer.</p>
<p>The importance of antioxidants and phytochemicals<br />
Antioxidants such as vitamin C, lycopene, beta carotene found in many fruits and vegetables,if you eat regularly, protects against cancer. &#8220;Phytochemicals in plant protects  from harmful substances in the environment and prevent mutations,&#8221; said Jed W. Fahey of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.</p>
<p>For cancer prevention requires the adoption of a balanced diet, not necessarily exclusively vegetarian.
